We couldn't resist staying at a sheep farm

The farmer had just recently sheared his sheep and had divided the rams (boys) from the ewes (girls). There were however a couple ewes that stayed in with the rams, so we had the task of separating the ewes out. If you think sheep are stupid, guess again. They are straight up dumb.

Ohh sooo close!:
That one just got away.. ugh:

Turns out there's no internet in rural NZ

We're in Masterton at the moment and using 30 minutes of free internet at the local library. Unfortunately we both left our cameras in the car, so photos will have to wait.

Here's a brief overview of our past week:
Jan 13- stayed at an organic citrus farm in Kerikeri; went to local Ngawha hotspring pools- 'Solomon' pool was the best; 'Doctor' pool was unbearable.
Jan 14- drove up to Cape Reinga (northern most point of NZ); stopped at 90 mile beach (which you can drive on....the limit is 100km/hr)
Jan 15- picked up Marko from Slovenia and drove through a Kauri forest (Kauris are massive trees- some are up to 17 meters in circumference!); got lost in Auckland suburbs trying to drop off Marko (ugh); and stayed at a farm in Glen Murray
Jan 16- drove up Coromandel Peninsual; coastal road will randomly switch to SINGLE lane (with lots of holiday traffic... fun times)
Jan 17- long drive to Maraehako Bay (the hostel looked like it came out of Robinson Crusoe!); had freshly caught snapper for dinner (fried in butter...delicious)
Jan 18- another day at Maraehako Bay; sea kayaking; more fresh snapper (more deliciousness)
Jan 19- drove around Eastern cape to Tokomaru Bay; beautiful beachside; learned how to play speed scrabble
Jan 20- woke up earrrrly to watch sunrise (we were the first ones to see the sun rise on January 20th..... ohh snap!)

Internet time is almost up... photos soon!

Classy is spelt N-I-S-S-A-N P-U-L-S-A-R circa 1990

30 plus hours of traveling is FUN! We've arrived safe and sound in Auckland and are taking it easy here for the next couple days. We picked up our rent a wreck (refer to title) and are enjoying driving on the other side of the road.. ha. We should get used to it soon enough. Photos later!
