It´s a pretty hilly city, and so to help out, there are ascensores all over the city. Most of them are on a diagonal like this one:
Me riding an ascensor at night.
The city is full of colourful houses. Guess which house belongs to the kid on the red soccer team?
One part of the city is called the Open Air Museum. This consists of a street network with dozens of murals.
Me chilling at Plaza de Sueño.
Now we know where the Montreal Canadiens sent all their extra Latendresse t-shirts.
Chileans have mastered wine+blended fruit+SUGAR. Kind of like a sweet sangria smoothie. (On the left: tinto con frutilla y platano, and on the right: blanco con piña y manzana).
Julian´s live music debut.
I present to you: The Completo. Hot dog, coleslaw, sauerkraut, avocado spread, mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup. Deeeeelicious. And messy.
Courtesy of Andrew (blond Australian), we have awesome Chilean friends.
Typical street.
View from another ascensor.
Yet another culinary delight.. The Chorrillana. Mmmmmmm. French fries, fried onions, egg, tender beef.
And done.
Posing or walking? I´ll let you decide.
More street art.
Looking down one of the many hills to the Pacific Ocean.
MORE cool art. We have too many mural photos.
The electricity system clearly hasn´t been reformed in some time. I would like to meet the person who understands this cobweb of wires. (Because you know that SOMEone does).
