The rest of Chile and the beginning of Bolivia TAKE 2!

While I (Meaghan) was bed- and bathroom-ridden for 2 days (too much information?) Julian posted photos from his camera... here are some from mine.

The elevation was pretty high (about 4800m) so it was cold. And we got crazy headaches the first night.



The Uyuni Salt Flat is about 12,000km2. So flat. So salty.



Who knew we´d find a gigantic nalgene in the middle of it?



In the middle of the Uyuni Salt Flat is an island covered in cacti.


This is my token photo from our 2-day horse trek near Tupiza, Bolivia. Given that our guide would whistle our horses into a full speed gallop without any warning, I was rarely brave enough to take my attention away from my horse long enough to take photos.
